Author- George Orwell
About Author- George Orwell The son of a civil servant Geoge Orwell was born in India in 1903. Orwell served with the Indian Imperial police in Burma from 1922 to 1927. George Orwell is most famous for his books Animal Farm (published in 1945) and 1984 (published in 1949). He died in London, England in January of 1950.
About Book- This novel presents a devastating picture of both indigenous corruption and British colonial rule. It describes Imperial bigotry in a society when 'after all natives were natives - interesting, no doubt, but finally only a "a subject" people, an inferior people with black faces'.
