Chateau Les Moines Medoc
Château Les Moines is located on one of the best clay-limestone plateau in Médoc. Lying on the Eocene limestone band called “Limestone Couquèques”, the soil is filtered and particularly rich in fossilized shells. With thousands of years in history, as well as the traditional expertise to produce Médoc, Château Les Moines combines advanced modern technology (automatic pumping, thermoregulation etc) and ensure all wines will be aged in traditional oak barrels for the best Médoc quality!
Vinification:
Traditional vinification, 22 days of fermentation, yeast addition, long maceration. Ageing 15 months in oak barrels. Age of barrels: new to 4 years. Filtration before bottling. Bonding egg albumin. Bottling at the Château.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance – Intense deep ruby color with some purple hues.
Aroma – Strong aroma of bouquet with hints of sweet spices and fruits.
Palate – On the palate, it gives powerful tannins giving it a strong attack on the palate with the hints of oaky taste.
Finish – Balanced and well expressed flavors overwhelm the finish.
Food Pairing – Perfect with red meat (gravy sheep, and beef), white meat and cheese.
