iPad Air 2020 launched with a new 10.9-inch screen size with a refreshed, square design like the iPad Pro. The first highlight that is easy to see apart from the 2 traditional colors (Gray, Silver) is the appearance of two new colors (blue, green, the return of rose gold) . iPad Air 2020 Supports Apple Pencil 2, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, LTE options, 2 levels of storage ( 64GB and 256GB) . The most prominent inside is still the A14 Bionic chip on the 5 nm process when the new iPhone has not yet been released.
The new iPad Air 2020 has an even 4-sided screen, and is only 0.2 mm (6.1 mm) thick than the iPad Pro. The new iPad Air 2020 is equipped with hardware with an A14 chip with 11.8 billion transistors, developed on the basis of a 5nm process and as a result, it is the industry's first 5nm chip. In terms of performance, Apple says the new chip with a 6-core design (2 high-performance cores and 4-core power-saving), offers 40% more performance than the old iPad Air. Of course, the GPU is also upgraded to handle graphics tasks with 4 processing cores.
All the hardware will combine with machine learning chip, allowing to compute 11 trillion operations per second, with 16 additional neural engine cores. Apple said it will give the ability to handle game graphics with the same quality as playing console.
The new iPad Air 2020 has a 7MP front camera, f / 2.2 aperture, supports 1080p video call, Smart HDR. The rear main camera has 12MP resolution, f / 1.8 aperture, recording 4K @ 60fps video with anti-shake, slow motion Full HD 240 fps.
The new iPad Air 2020 owns a USB-C interface with a data transfer rate of 5 Gbps, which comes with a 20W charger, replacing the 18W model. The battery of the device has a capacity of 28.6 Wh; equivalent to iPad Pro 11 (2020) for about 10 hours of web surfing time.
